Week 5: Free Choice - Proud To Be An Indonesian!

I am proud to be an Indonesian because,

My country has more than 300 ethnic groups and more than 700 languages!

My country has more than 17,500 islands. The 5 biggest islands are Papua New Guinea, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Java, and Sumatra.

Indonesia has a lot of active volcanoes, including Krakatoa and Tambora, both famous for their eruptions in the 19th century.

Indonesia has some very interesting achievements like it was able to fight the Dutch without any other country’s help! Later the Dutch recognized our independence in 1945.

Indonesia was the first one to launch and operate its own satellite.

Indonesian team was also the first Asian team to qualify in FIFA World Cup in Dutch East Indies.

Indonesia has a tropical climate, and it supports the world's second highest level of biodiversity, after Brazil and its rainforest, Amazon. Indonesia's biodiversity is also a mix of Asian and Australian species!

Rendang, an Indonesian food, is one of the world's most delicious food!

These are a few things to be proud of being Indonesian and of course there are many more.

Me too, I think that is purity cool that you have 700 languages and 17,500 islands. I live in Kentucky we don't have that many cool things here than I guess horse racing but that is it.
